5 Stars Great Series
The anime genre, especially the giant robot subset

usually just bores me to tears. The typical offering presents us with a bunch of girls blessed with unnaturally small waists and exaggeratedly large chests who team up with very feminine looking teenage boys to predictably blast some one-dimensional costumed bad guy (or girl) and his/her army of gobots into oblivion.

The only depth usually added to this is that one of the gender neutral Asian boys (usually with blonde hair and blue eyes of course) is a reluctant hero who hates authority and would be kicked out of any military worth a salt… except that he is SOOO talented the fate of the world (universe, clan, race) could be decided by his personal robot driving skill. Of course one or more of the purple-haired heroines and often a costumed villain or two are madly in love with our hero leading him to a gripping (yawn) internal struggle over which one to date after, or during the utterly predictable fight.

This is not like that.

It’s actually good and if you haven’t seen the movie it’s based off of or read the spoiler reviews it will often surprise you. In any case after every episode I found myself saying ‘well.. ok just one more it’s only 20 minutes’.

As a 39 year old parent I can say that my whole family was very satisfied with Samurai 7.

5 Stars A classic re-telling of a classic.
One of the greatest story tellers Akira Kurosawa is done justice with the retelling of one of his best works. ‘Seven Smaurai’ is the story of a villiage being enslaved by ruthless bandits forcing them to work the land in servitude. Their only hope is to venture out and find a band of Samurai. However, it is a process that will take much time because the Samurai are a dying breed not as honerable and noble as they were. Through much hardship and obstacles 7 worthy men are chosen by their pure hearts and honor and come together to wage a war on the bandits and reclaim their place in history and in the hearts of the innocent.

Enter ‘Samurai 7′ The story is re-told through the use of brilliant animation and set in a post apokalyptic future. The samurai have become common theives or sold their souls to become mighty steel machines to serve the imperial city. It’s an incredible blend of classic Japanese story telling with a sci-fi twist. It’s a specticle that makes all kind of emotions come out. It does move a little slow, but the character development as well as the story really sucks you making you wonder what will happen next.

‘Samurai 7′ has become a critically accalimed show by many critics and newspapers. It has become a cult classic in the anime mainstream and has even been broacsted on american television. If you are into great stories that are not always in your face action this might be for you.

5 Stars a new twist on a old story
I seen the orginial black and white 7 samurai and loved it. This is a new twist on the old story set in a sci-fi setting. If your a fan of the orginial and worried about if they change to much don’t the story is just as great as the orginial, you will love it.

5 Stars Wow…Definitely does the movie justice
I checked out this series because I saw ads for it everywhere for quite some time, and it’s based off of one of my favorite classic movies, The Seven Samurai. This was the first anime series I bought that I had never even watched an episode of before buying. And I am very glad that I took the chance, because this is one of the best anime series I have ever seen. The storyline is well-developed, the characters interesting, and the conclusion left me feeling fulfilled. The art is also top-notch. I can’t comment about the English voice actors, but if you enjoy the Japanese seiyuu, then you’ll get a treat from the voices of Romi Paku, Shinichiro Miki, Masaki Terasoma, Fumiko Orikasa, and Takehito Koyasu (just to name a few of the people on the fabulous cast).

Of course, this is the Viridian Collection, so please remember that. It’s not the box set where ever disc is in an individual case, or where all of the special inserts come included. It’s actually all 7 DVDs put into 5 cases in a smaller cardboard box. But if you don’t mind that, then believe me, the buy is worth it.

3 Stars Mixed bag
Samurai 7 has it strengths: some interesting character choices, reasonably high production values, a slower pace that allows the story and characters to develop, and, of course, samurai fighting giant robots (sweet!). However, the series also delivers plenty of awkward and simply bad emotional exposition, several of the characters we’ve seen before (in every martial arts movie ever made), and the plot stretches a bit thin as the original 3 hour epic is expanded to 8 or 9 hours. Fans of anime, robots, samurai and so forth will find some good popcorn entertainment.

Fox Western Classics Rawhide The Gunfighter Garden of Evil

One of these three new-to-DVD Westerns is a universally esteemed classic, well worth the price of the set. But in happy fact, the whole package delivers the goods: sturdy genre entertainment from the Western’s peak decade, the 1950s; solid Fox studio craftsmanship in every department; and breathtakingly crisp restorations that make you feel you’ve been time-warped back to a loge seat in your Bijou of choice on opening day. Henry King’s The Gunfighter (1950) is the crown jewel–the film that deserves the credit (often awarded to High Noon) for ushering in the “adult Western,” the ’50s subgenre that emphasized psychological intensity over action and spectacle. Gregory Peck (topping his acclaimed performance in King’s WWII drama Twelve O’Clock High) is excellent as Jimmy Ringo, a notorious shootist grown middle-aged and mortally weary of having to defend his legend. His trail takes him to a frontier town where an old comrade (the great Millard Mitchell) now serves as marshal, and where Ringo’s estranged wife and the son he has never seen also reside, under an assumed name. Over one night and one day, Ringo dares to dream of a normal life. But there are avengers not far behind, and other threats yet to be counted. Although hailed by critics, The Gunfighter lost money for Fox; studio head Darryl F. Zanuck blamed the soup-strainer mustache–a stroke of period realism–director King ordered Peck to grow for the role. Well, a little red ink is a small price to pay for a masterpiece. Incidentally, the impeccable black-and-white cinematography is by three-time Oscar-winner Arthur Miller, capping a career that reached back to The Perils of Pauline.

The 1951 Rawhide (no relation to the later TV series) is a trim, satisfying Henry Hathaway picture that blends the leathery trappings of the Western with the claustrophobic atmosphere and intensity of a noir suspense film. At a remote swing station for the transcontinental stagecoach, several no-goods aim to help themselves to a gold shipment. But the next coach isn’t carrying gold, so the intruders hold the stationmasters (Tyrone Power and Edgar Buchanan) and some stranded passengers captive while they wait. Power and Susan Hayward handle the heroics without larger-than-life posturing; Dean Jagger, Hugh Marlowe, and George Tobias relish the rare opportunity to play villainous or ambiguous types; and Jack Elam is, well, Jack Elam, reliably oozing viciousness from every pore. Screenwriter Dudley Nichols knew the territory, having scripted John Ford’s Stagecoach thirteen years earlier. Hathaway also directed Garden of Evil (1954), Fox’s first Western in the new CinemaScope process. (Very wiiiiide CinemaScope–the DVD preserves the 2.55:1 format, which was later modified to 2.35:1.) The story involves several fortune-seeking Americanos accidentally thrown together in Mexico and enlisted to help rescue a fellow countryman injured at his remote gold mine. Much of the film unreels as a journey Western exploring tensions among the strangers, especially those inspired by dreaming of gold and the man’s redheaded wife (Susan Hayward). The dialogue reaches for profundity and comes up short, but Richard Widmark as a self-designated “poet” and Gary Cooper as a retired lawman give satisfaction as they one-up each other. The movie’s distinction lies in Hathaway’s no-sweat adaptation to the widescreen format, the awe-inspiring Mexican settings–a deserted village, a valley of black sand, a mountain town buried under volcanic ash–and the only music score ever composed for a feature Western by Bernard Herrmann.

Herrmann is just about the only thing the four commentators on Garden of Evil talk about (there’s also a separate “making of” featurette). Nobody does commentary on The Gunfighter or Rawhide, but the disc for the former includes a featurette on master cameraman Arthur Miller, while a Rawhide addendum highlights the oft-used movie location of Lone Pine, Calif., and another pays tribute to gutsy leading lady Susan Hayward. Talking heads include some half-dozen film historians (e.g., David Biographical Dictionary of Film Thomson) plus Henry Hathaway’s son and Gary Cooper’s daughter. –Richard T. Jameson

3 Stars Good for the Price
At $10.99, this package is well worth it. None of these movies are classics, but they are pretty solid. I had seen all of them in my youth. “The Gunfighter” has held up the best. “Garden of Evil” is better than I remembered, and “Rawhide” not quite as good. Gary Cooper is equal to himself in “Garden of Evil.” Gregory Peck shows that he really was the best actor of his generation. He does an excellent job with a “not really a good guy” role. Although I like Tyrone Power, he just doesn’t quite cut it in “Rawhide.” It may be a script problem because his character just doesn’t seem very defined.

5 Stars A trio of terrific westerns
Nowadays, the Western is almost a dead genre, a far cry from the days in which it dominated the movies. Of course, even in its heyday, it had various stages. Earlier Westerns tended to focus on adventure, with cowboys and Indians and bank robbers. Around the 1950s, a new subgenre began to appear, the so-called Adult Western. These Westerns tended to focus more on character and less on action. The Fox Western Classics features three such movies.

The Gunfighter is considered to be one of the first Adult Westerns, with Gregory Peck has the title character. He is a man considered the best gunfighter of his era, a title that he is forced to defend. He takes refuge in the town of Cayenne, where an old friend is marshal and his estranged wife is living under another name with their son. Even here, however, danger lurk.

Rawhide is perhaps the least “adult” of the three movies. Tyrone Power is working at an isolated stagecoach station and is taken hostage by a band of robbers planning on robbing an incoming, gold-laden stage. Complicating matters is Susan Hayward and her infant niece who are trapped at the station also. Hugh Marlowe leads the band of robbers, but it’s Jack Elam who provides the real danger.

Hayward and Marlowe are also in Garden of Evil, also directed by Rawhide director Henry Hathaway. This is the epic of the three, with Gary Cooper and Richard Widmark leading the cast and a young Rita Moreno in one of her first (brief) roles. It is shot in Cinescope and scored by the great Bernard Hermann. Cooper and Widmark are a couple passengers on a California-bound steamer that is stranded in Mexico with engine problems. Stuck in port for weeks, they let themselves be hired by Hayward, who needs them to rescue her husband (Marlowe) who’s stuck in a mine. Getting there is an arduous enough trip, but getting back may be more perilous, with Apaches dogging their every move.

In quality terms, these are all four-to-five star movies, and there are enough extras - including commentaries and featurettes - to make this a top notch set. If you enjoy Westerns, this is a trio of near classics that is worth viewing.

5 Stars The Western Classic
Love it. Have also shared with professor who teaches The Western here at the college where I work.

4 Stars Among the Best in Black And White.
If you’ve never seen “The Gunfighter,” you’ve never seen the best western ever. I believe it to be a really good movie to show to young men, just so they know. These movies are more than simple westerns.

3 Stars 3 worthwhile movies; package could be better
This set includes two terrific movies, Henry King’s THE GUNFIGHTER with Gregory Peck and Henry Hathaway’s RAWHIDE with Tyrone Power and Susan Hayward. The third film, Hathaway’s GARDEN OF EVIL with Hayward and Gary Cooper, is much the least of the lot, but at least it has beautiful CinemaScope cinematography that the disc captures very well. It’s also regrettable that GARDEN is the only one of the three with a commentary track, doubly so in that the three commentators discuss nothing but Bernard Herrmann’s musical score — a subject in which fans of westerns, Cooper, Hayward or Hathaway will have no interest whatsoever.

On the plus side, as noted, the other two films are terrific, with one of Peck’s best-ever performances in THE GUNFIGHTER. Also, the package includes several extras to compensate for the snooze-fest Herrmann commentary: featurettes on Lone Pine, CA, a popular location where over 400 movies were made, on GUNFIGHTER cinematographer Arthur Miller, and on Henry Hathaway, a director whose career and work are decades overdue for the respect they deserve.

5 Stars Good video, but you need to be able to think on your feet
This video is a basic step video if you can adapt easily to the fact that it is designed for all levels and not just beginner. With each new move, Gin shows a beginner step, then adds to it if you want to make it harder for intermediate and adds to it again for advanced. However, you do not have to do the intermediate or advanced step moves and you can just keep doing the beginner step moves. I say this because many reviews are not clear about how the video is structured. You can do this as a beginner if you are able to keep the same move going without getting confused when Gin is also showing and doing intermediate and advanced moves. I think that this is an excellent video to grow with because as you get comfortable with the moves you can add in the intermediate and hard arms to make the workout harder. I am a definite beginner and I have not had any problem keeping up with this video, I am starting to do some intermediate moves, but overall I just keep doing the basic step moves. I have not been able to work out for the full 50 minutes, I usually stop after the warm-up and 20-30 minutes of stepping and forward to the cool down. This is a great video to challenge you, keep you energized and you can adapt the moves as you progress.

1 Star simply step: classic moves
This dvd was damaged, and would not play…even though it was brand new. I exchanged it for another and it was damaged and would not play either. I returned it and I’m still not sure if Amazon credited my account properly…I spent more time on the phone w/ Amazon and at the post office than I would have doing the exercise tape. Will never order another dvd from Amazon again.

* Also ordered a “new” copy of a Gin Miller video described in perfect condition from an individual listing/selling through Amazon, and that tape was defective as well. I got a more prompt refund from her than from Amazon.

5 Stars WOW!!!!!
This DVD is FANTATSTIC!!!!. I tried it once already and it kicked my butt royally. I love it!!!! It is definitely worth the money. If you are looking for a workout that leaves you tired and drenched this is the one.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Special Edition

This 1968 kiddie-car caper is flawed but solid family fare. It retains a quaint charm while some of the songs–including the title tune–are quite hummable. A huge plus is Dick Van Dyke, who is extremely appealing as an eccentric inventor around the turn of the century. With nimble fingers and a unique way of looking at the world, he invents for his children a magic car that floats and flies. Or does he? The special effects are tame by today’s standards, and the film is about 20 minutes too long–but its enthusiasm charms. The script was cowritten by Roald Dahl and based on the novel by Ian Fleming, best known for his James Bond adventures. –Rochelle O’Gorman

5 Stars Imaginative and great music
My daughter loves watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The musical numbers and the fantastical nature of the movie are perfect for her age (4). I was struck by how mean Dick Van Dyke’s character is at first, but that’s not something my daughter notices.

Babe Widescreen Special Edition

The surprise hit of 1995, this splendidly entertaining family film was nominated for six Academy Awards, including best picture, director, and screenplay, and deservedly won the Oscar for its subtly ingenious visual effects. Babe is all about the title character, a heroic little pig who’s been taken in by the friendly farmer Hoggett (Oscar nominee James Cromwell), who senses that he and the pig share “a common destiny.” Babe, a popular mischief-maker the Australian farm, is adopted by the resident border collie and raised as a puppy, befriended by Ferdinand the duck (who thinks he’s a rooster), and saves the day as a champion “sheep-pig.” Filled with a supporting cast of talking barnyard animals and a chorus of singing mice (courtesy of computer enhancements and clever animatronics), this frequently hilarious, visually imaginative movie has already taken its place as a family classic with timeless appeal. –Jeff Shannon

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars ONE OF THE BEST!
In my opinion, this film stands alongside “The Wizard of Oz”, “Charlotte’s Web”, and “Mary Poppins” at the pinnacle of family entertainment. A great surprise hit when it was released, it now has a firm and enduring place in the pantheon of great films.

This is a movie for everyone to cherish, over and over again. It does not insult childrens’ intelligence, as so many kids flicks do, and it delights the adults as well.

All of the characters are charming and well developed. The lush Aussie scenery is gorgeously filmed to great effect. Extraordinary production values all around. Babe should have won for best picture–does anyone recall which film beat it?

This is a classic for the ages–and for all ages. Only the foul-tempered cat might disturb the very young. And even the adults (me included) will find a box of tissues very handy. The floodgates open every time I see it. But nothing here is heavy-handed tragedy a la “Old Yeller” or “The Yearling”. And certainly none of the war and gore of “Watership Down”–which is not for children at all. This is “G” rated with all that the rating implies.

So, grab your family, or watch it with your adult friends. You can’t go wrong with this fine example of cinematic magic and sheer joyousness. Can’t wait for the BluRay! Now how much longer do we have to wait for a truly classic version of “Alice in Wonderland”?

5 Stars I Hope This Comes Out On Blu-Ray
When this movie came out — years ago, I thought, “Wow, this is pretty amazing” and since then movie audiences have been amazed at a number of camera tricks, computer-enhanced people, animals, monsters, and who knows what….so this kind of story with fun special effects/talking animals is no longer is unique.

However, it’s still so charming, so nice a story that it should hold up as solid entertainment for a long, long time. It has proved to be anything but a flash-in-the-pan. This movie will endure. It’s also a beautiful film on DVD with brilliant colors and some very rich visuals. I can’t wait for the high-def Blu-Ray to be made available.

Filmed in rural Australia, the scenery is magnificent and so is the house that is featured in the film. It looks like some old-fashioned gingerbread house. The animals are entertaining, talking to one another like humans but not looking hokey in the process. In other words, the dubbing is well done.

The main character, “Babe,” the little pig, is the nicest, most innocent “character” you could ever hope to find. Listening to him talk is heart-warming most of the time and sometimes it’s heart-breaking. The best comic relief is provided by the goose who wants to be a rooster. That may sound like it’s geared toward little kids, but it isn’t. I haven’t found an adult friend yet who didn’t like this film.

It also was good to see James Cromwell play a nice guy, too. Most other times he seems to play profane and corrupt cops or government officials. Here, he’s just a nice old farmer who blends in perfectly with the surroundings. His wife is a bit annoying, but not too bad.

This is a wonderful, sweet-hearted comedy-drama with a nice ending, too, guaranteed to leave you with a smile or a tear, or both. This is one of the best “family” movies of all time.

5 Stars A perfect movie.
This movie is perfect. It is funny, heartwarming, dramatic, well acted, and well made. It won’t let you down at all. If you have a heart, then “Babe” will capture it for a couple of hours.

5 Stars A Must-See for Animal Lovers
This truly is a movie that can be enjoyed by animal lovers of all ages. Young children will enjoy the talking animals and their antics; older children and adults will appreciate the sociological nuances in this well-crafted fable.

5 Stars Pig of Destiny
A fable celebrating the triumph of the improbable in the face of convention. Clever use of storybook titles, narrative, lighting & music make this a captivating experience. Ntl Soc Film Critics, Best Film. Golden Globe Best Film (music / comedy). 6 Academy Award nominations incl Best Director

Barney Miller The Complete Second Season

Changes are in store for the men of the 12th Precinct in the second season of Barney Miller, which is presented in its entirety in this three-disc, no-frills collection. Chief among the wrinkles to the show’s proven formula are the departure of Gregory Sierra’s Chano Amenguale, who would leave for his own series after this season; also, Barbara Barrie, who made a strong impression as Barney’s wife Liz in the first season, would be relegated to the sidelines for much of this episode run before leaving the series, though she does earn her own storyline for the first and only time in “Social Worker.” Otherwise, the second season is focused largely on Barney and the rest of the detectives (as most fans preferred) as they wrangle with crazed gunmen (”The Sniper”), a marauding rodent (”You Dirty Rat”), job insecurity (”The Layoff”) and a punishing New York city summer (”Heat Wave”). Hal Linden’s smart performance as Barney remains the glue that holds the series together, though there is excellent work from Abe Vigoda as Fish and Max Gail as Wojciehowicz, especially in “The Kid” (Fish becomes enamored of a pickpocket’s mother) and “Discovery” (Wojo investigates police harassment of a gay couple). Series followers will also note the presence of future cast members Steve Landesburg and Ron Carey among the guest cast; both would join the show (as Detective Arthur Dietrich and Office Carl Levitt) in the third season. Video quality is a little worse for wear in certain episodes; the set also features two superfluous “mini-episodes” of Charlie’s Angels and The Facts of Life as its supplemental features. –Paul Gaita

5 Stars DVD TV
I bought season one long time ago, now bought season two. I now remember it on TV growing up. Still good and funny.

5 Stars Love this show!
I was beginning to think they’d never get around to putting Season 2 on DVD, but here it is, and it’s just as wonderful to watch in this decade as it was in the ’70s and ’80s. So when’s Season 3 going to be available???

5 Stars Top five favorite shows
This is a great series. Even with the changes in the cast at various times, the writing is great, and the characters are very well drawn.

3 Stars Losing faith in TV on DVD
I’ll keep it short. Let’s face it. Barney Miller’s first two seasons were the weakest, especially the first. The wife doesn’t even fit into the stories, and it is obvious this dimension was forced. If printing stops after season two, my review will drop from three stars into the negatives. If a series is committed to DVD, do it RIGHT, and do it COMPLETELY.

5 Stars nostalgia
I still think Barney Miller is one of the best comedies. The relationships between the main characters is a delight to watch and some of the “customers” are a real joy.w.u.

5 Stars A Real Funny Classic
This set is great and here is why:

- If you’re a fan of golden age classic comedy shows, then this is a great treat for you.

- The sound and video quality of the DVD was amazing. I have watched old episodes on tv of I Love Lucy and the difference is huge! You would enjoy a the clear voice even if sometimes you can’t figure out some of Ricky Recardo words :)
The bonus material were not much, but you don’t really buy the DVD for the bonus material do you? the DVD’s include some never-seen footage, and some other related material.

5 Stars I Love Lucy The Complete Fist Season
This is probably one of the best Paramount releases out there. I first got an I Love Lucy on Christmas of 2004 and it was the second season set. About two years later, I was at Best Buy and got the slim packet of the first season. It was even better than season two! The episodes are clean and crisp and I wouldn’t be suprised if they look better than they did when they first aired on CBS. That brings me to another point, each episode starts with a title card saying the name of the episode and when it first came out; brilliant!

This release has a total of 36 episodes, including the pilot. All 36 are put in 7 DVDs.

Each disc has bonus features including flubs, some of which are very interesting to see, guest cast information, special features ( usually restored music or dialouge ),original openings, complete episodes of Lucy’s radio series, and production notes. 5 Stars Amazing First Season of a Classic
Lucille Ball was and is a true legend. There has not been another comedienne with her rare, sharp comedic skills and expert timing since. A lot of times with a series, even the best in history, it takes a season or two to hit its groove. Not with I LOVE LUCY. Many of the most classic episodes are here in the 1st season. Years ago when the 1st season was first released on dvd it was for an outrageous price. Other seasons followed at very amazing deals and now at last season 1 is at a price that is just unbeatable.

Imagine, all the 35 episodes from the 1st season shown uncut and digitally remastered. The pilot episode is here as well as three complete episodes of Lucy’s radio show MY FAVORITE HUSBAND on which I LOVE LUCTY was based. Of course she refused to do it without her hubby Desi. There is deleted footage, original opening sequences (they changed the intro to the famous heart when the show went into syndication). There are also behind the scenes featurettes. The list of extra goes on and on.

Of course these episodes are glorious for with this series Desi invented the three camera filming process as well as recording on film which preserved them for eternity. The character of Lucy was inventive, original and also very believable from the very first episode. Lucille Ball managed to do some hilarious slapstick and be in outrageous situations while remaing a beautiful lady with class and purpose. All the antics had a reason that she managed to make very believable. Of the classic episodes here we have THE BALLET, LUCY’S SCHEDULE, THE FREEZER, PIONEER WOMEN as well as the infamous LUCY DOES A TV COMMERCIAL which introduced us forever to Vitameatavegamin.

Need I say more. The show is the most famous, best written and best acted comedy of all time. If you love Lucy you must have this 1st season. If you have lived under a rock and have not seen all these episodes you must invest in this to see a true comedic legend use her craft to exemplary results. This show never appears dated. It can be enjoyed as much today as when it first aired. That is the true testament of a true classic.

Long live Lucy.

5 Stars an alternative to overstimulating video
This is a wonderful collection that takes the artwork from the original story and translates it to video form. My children love it!

5 Stars extremely good
This a Christmas president for my nephews. One is 9 years old, the other is 3 years old. Both of the two boys like them very much.

5 Stars A welcome break from your regular preschool and toddler DVDs.
Ordered this with the 20 classics collection and really like them. My 2 year old daughter seems to find one story and gets attached to it - so far, the whole Good Night Gorilla disc, Click Clack Moo, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, and He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.

I also like the fact that some stories are for an older age range, so we’ll continue to introduce new stories as she gets older!

5 Stars Great Video Collection
My kids love these stories. They received this item for Christmas and watch them about everyday.

5 Stars Lot of fun for little ones!
The grandkids love these! The children range in age from 2 to 6 years of age. The oldest reads along with the words. Glad I found this set!

5 Stars Greatest Christmas DVD ever
I’ve watched the Mickey’s Christmas Carol all through my childhood and they stopped showing it every Christmas. So it was great to be able to get it. Happy they put this on DVD.

5 Stars Classic Holiday Stories
This one has a lot of our favorites! Was delivered amazingly quickly and in great condition!

4 Stars Classic Holiday Stories
I babysit and was looking for more Christmas type movies. I decide to buy this one to finish out my amount of purchase to get the free shipping. I was pleasantly surprised, as were my little kids, as we sat down to watch. The kids enjoyed the cartoons.

5 Stars Classic Disney
I teach A Christmas Carol to 7th graders and this video really is faithful to the original story. My students love it!

4 Stars A Traditional Movie
I was thrilled to find this on DVD. I made the mistake of getting rid of our old VHS tapes at a yard sale since my girls are now 10 and 11 years old. Apparently, I was wrong in assuming they no longer were interested in this movie as they were distraught at Christmas time looking for their ‘beloved’ movie. Yeah, I found it and all is better. I guess you can enjoy a Mickey Holiday no matter how young (or old) you are!
