5 Stars Charming “Summer Magic”
Get that warm “Summer Magic” feeling! This is one of those films that you can view at any time or at any age. Hayley Mills is especially charming and Burl Ives and Dorothy McGuire are just a few in the rest of the superb cast. Get this DVD and watch it some Sunday evening. It will perk you right up!
5 Stars Classic Disney! Just Flitterin!
Disneyland has graciously adopted the fine tune of “Flitterin” from this motion picture, and with good reason. It’s Disney Main St. USA starring none other than the Disney Studios prodigy, actress Haley Mills in one of her best films for Disney. With many fine supporting cast in Dorothy McGuire, Deborah Walley, and Burl Ives singing some very agreeable songs. “Ugly Bug Ball” is one of them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this movie, and the only squabbles I can think of would stem from nitpicking any dvd production values.
The plot is simple, an upper crust family must find a suitable place to live after a huge fallout with their good fortune, and investments. Haley Mills, as Nancy the daughter, comes to the rescue by doing some early homework, and contacting a potential house for very conveniant rates in a country town. The elegant country house, however, is owned by an out of towner who has placed it under care of Burl Ives. Meanwhile, a cousin comes to visit the family fixing up the house, with Haley Mills constantly bringing up the fact that the real owner might come back to kick them out. Deborah Walley plays the fine acting cousin of Julia, who is an upper crust snob with very well taught manners. The inner house conflict between Haley and Deborah make up quite a bit of the interior of the movie while the house is undergoing reconstruction. Finally, the homeowner does eventually make it back in time for a halloween party, that fictitiously commemorates his deceased mother. And his mother is still alive!
Needless to say, the original homeowner is a suave handsome gentleman who falls for the vibrant Haley. Fine movie for the entire family, which is what Disney is all about.

Received right on time!! In great condition. The 2 movies I ordered are gifts and I cannot wait for the person to receive them this week. Will use this seller again, no problem.

This is one of your typical “feel good” movies from Disney with Hayley Mills. Having grown up in this genre of movies, this is one of the favorites. Good family flick!
When a slightly cross-eyed Siamese cat named D.C. (Darn Cat) turns up with a wristwatch around his neck instead of a collar, it could be just the clue the FBI needs to crack a series of bank robberies in this lightweight comedy from Disney. The watch belongs to a bank teller who has been taken hostage. Dean Jones stars as the good-hearted FBI agent assigned to the case. Unfortunately, he is highly allergic to, you guessed it, cats. Hayley Mills is D.C.’s doting owner who hatches a hair-brained scheme to follow D.C.’s every move until he returns to the crooks’ hideout where he got the wristwatch. After a lot of sneezing, slapstick, and comedic intrigue, the bank robbers are foiled, the hostage is safe, and everyone is happy. An impressive supporting cast of Frank Gorshin, Elsa Lanchester, Roddy McDowall, and Ed Wynn add to the zaniness. Released in 1965 (and remade in 1997), it is understandably dated, but the performances are fun nonetheless. Hayley Mills is delightful as the determined and unflappable wannabe sleuth, and Dean Jones proves he is adept at physical comedy. This is a movie of little consequence, just a clean, fun diversion that the whole family can watch. The theme song is sung by Bobby Darin. –Peggy Maltby-Etra

I Have Seen This Disney Movie Several Times, And To This Day I Can Never Stop Laughing. This Is One Of The Most Funniest 1960,s Disney Movies Ever Made. The Characters Are All Funny, Especially The Cat D.C., What A Smart Cat!, The Funniest Moment Is At The Drive In Theater When D.C. Causes Some Hilarious Trouble. The Bad Guy Versus Good Guy Action Is Great As Well. I Love It All The Way Through. And If Anyone Out There Loves To Laugh, You,ll Really Enjoy This Disney Feature. It Is Much Better Than The Later Remake, The Remake Sadly Lacks Acting Talent And Story Plot. Stick To The Original Movie And Laugh Till You Drop.

5 Stars Always loved this story
I believe this is the best of the Pollyanna movies. There is nobody like Hayley Mills. It’s a sweet and funny way to return to your childhood. I’m enjoying introducing Pollyanna to my grandchildren and pleased to see that it’s not all video games but that the simple things still appeal.
4 Stars Not as good as the book
My daughter is 9 and loves this story. We read the book before ordering the movie and she couldn’t put it down. The movie is very Disneyish with the colorful sets, simple characters and plot modifications to make the story “better”. We are always on the lookout for good wholesome movies for our daughter and in that respect, I can recommend this one. But I highly recommend you read the book first. If you like this one, you can read Heidi next.

Pollyanna (Vault Disney Collection)
Set in the Victorian Era. A very poignant story of a young girl who has lost her parents, moved in with her Aunt, has quite a few mishaps, one very serious. But through it all, Pollyanna brings happiness and hope to all she comes in contact with. At the end of the story, everyone gathers ’round her, to bring hope and happiness, to their Pollyanna. Excellent movie. Highly recommended.
